Dear fellows! 2010 has began with a huge explosion. The banger that was meant to fly up to the sky burnt Greg’s sleeve instead, then flashed with invisible light just behind the walls of the city.

So here we take off into a new resounding year. In spring 2010 Foona / P.T.C-Crew /, Vombat’s first live reggae artist (Sweden), is releasing his new album that we’re personally very curious about.

We’re on the border of a new exciting journey people…take your seats in Jamaican Gondole. We’re sailing right to the source of the dub – roots river of music.

i lived there, deep in the hazy pit of dream…
to tread like an elephant over the clouds of imagination

behind the millionth scenery of time
behind the cigarette
behind the cave in into reality
behind the digital link of sound and image

ettumason-guitar Some of you who attended last ET Tumason ’s concert on Vombat or at the place where it really happened, that is Meskal, might remember the moment when ET started telling his airport story and playing the A song. Well, we finally got the recording uploaded on the server and you can listen/download both whole concert as a podcast or have a glimpse of what you can expect by listening to this little piece. Anyway, have fun :) ET Tumason – the airport story and song
BTW, here’s ET Tumason ’s page on Vombat with 2 concerts recorded

The story behind

YEM, a Buenos Aires based collective just sent us the video footage of their first online concert on Vombat. See how they perform completely live from their home! YEM was conceived as a duo: Max Catalàn and Yemina Zec. During this live you will also hear Dario Bravo playing bass guitar. Videos by Law, photos by Juan Ilusorio. Special thanks to Elisha Papic who made this live possible.

The story behind

http://myspace.com/strukturator

Strukturator is not a musical project – it’s a symbiosis device of the man and the plant.

The Man – Misha Mironenko was born in boiling sulphuretted hydrogenius waves of Black Sea and hunting for the environment sound all over the world.

The Rasta – Ras Detective – Experimental Strolling Player, Nayabingi Warrior in the industrial postsoviet society, analysing and provoking the system of common thinking by improvising verse.

The plant – was grown on the antique fertile Crimean peninsula and gives back to the sound its primeval structure from the meditative point of view. This symbiosis was born in the name of pure synthesis environment sound.

You can find Strukturator’s podcast from Vombat Radio live sessions on his profile here:

The InterVU
■ How you and nature work together to create music?
The gene our forefathers are singing there songs when we are sleeping
■ It seems you’re deeply connected with the spiritual stuff, can you tell what’s your view on the spiritual matters?
Our spiritual matter is the nature and the fact that Gagarin is my grandfather
■ (vombats laugh) So… what you’d suggest for a “writer’s block” ?
The sculptor Rodin said that inspiration sucks – all ya have to do – is to work hard
■ Well, your sound is very dynamic and inspiring for others. Allright but what or who do you enjoy listening to if you’re not creating yourself?
For a long years I’m traveling and listen nothing but the nature around, no TV, some books and love
■ … and Misha if you had a possibility to deliver one message to all human kind what would it be?
Throw out of the window your TV set, don’t turn away from nature in favour of alcohol and chemistry around, clean living and moderation will save our God – the Planet that is under our foot
■ Thank you very much!

Heron

Heron

Though being busy playing live from Berlin to Montreal, Heron found some time and prepared an hour long special mix for Vobat. Sweeping through deep house, minimal and techno, this piece will shake you right! But that’s not all guys, we couldn’t resist to ask Heron just a few fundamental questions about life & music, which he willingly answered

■ What was the first song you heard in you life?

Creedence Clearwater Revival – Hey Tonight (this ist he first i can remember)

■ Working on which song you remember best?

You mean an own production? Welcome To The Adventure Club

■ Tell us about a happening (or a person) that had greatest influence on you

There are lots of great people in my life but I think when my grandfather teached me how to pipe, the basis for my music carreer was built – hahaha

■ What is most important in life for you ?

Love

■ How do you see the future of music?

It’s a dynamic thing, lots of new inventions all the time!

■ If you had a time machine would you first travel back or further?

Nothing, everything is like it should be!

■ If you had 3 wishes…

No famine, peace all over the world, love for everybody

unfeasable-todayIf he had a chance he would travel back in time to the 80’s to see the beginnings of the acid house scene and given a chance to make his 3 wishes come true he would become a billionaire, stay healthly forever and have 3 more wishes!

Influenced by UK Rave scene, with family being the numero uno in his life, Unfeasable, every seventh day of the month (with exception for this month caused by changes in Vombat) presents you his minimal / house mixes in the luckily named show ” 7:7 “.

Well! You got to hear for yourself this evening. The show starts at 7pm Central European Time, that is 6pm London Time. The time on the slide bar shows your country start time, as usual :)

Have a good time everybody!
